HOT DAMN! has a full three-piece horn section built into the band.

The horns are a big part of the HOT DAMN! sound.
Our arrangements are written around the musicians in the band, giving the horn section plenty to do across the night — hooks, riffs, stabs, solos and all the little bits that make a song hit properly.
Live saxophone runs throughout the set, alongside the rest of the three-piece horn section.
Think the soaring hook from Take On Me, the punch of September and Uptown Funk, the precision of Sir Duke, or the full ska energy of The Impression That I Get.
For us, the horn section isn’t just a feature. It shapes the sound of the band, the arrangements we choose and the way we play them.
Jake — the person answering your enquiry — is also the saxophonist in the band. He studied at the Conservatorium, teaches woodwind for a living and writes arrangements for HOT DAMN!, so there’s a fair bit of sax-and-horns thinking going on behind the scenes too.
